About The Ashley G. Charitable Foundation

Mission Statement: The Ashley G. Charitable Foundation was established in 2008 with the goal of educating the public about symptoms, treatment, and care of children and teens with lymphoma, to fund research for treatment and to assist patients.

The Ashley G. Charitable Foundation was established in 2008 by our family after experiencing the devastating diagnosis, treatments, and numerous other battles fought by our daughter, Ashley, who passed away on June 18, 2008 after her 14 month battle with Diffuse Large B Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.

There were so many people who were tremendously supportive to Ashley and our family through her battle. Many of those people continue to support our fight against this devastating disease. For those that did not know Ashley personally, your efforts and generosity will hopefully make a profound difference in the education, treatment, and care of children and teens with lymphoma.

There is much research being conducted for therapies that utilize bone marrow, peripheral blood, or umbilical cord blood stem cells which can provide cures for cancer, blood disorders and immune disease that are thought to be lethal conditions. With continuing research through the Dr. Mitchell Cairo team, we believe we will find a cure for many lethal diseases.

We thank you for joining the Ashley G Charitable Foundation team.

Thank you,
David and Melanie Gaines
